I do love my job, free sunglasses makes me happy!
This week on my pre-degree course I have learnt how to book bind! I'm so excited to be learning this new form of art skill! Hopefully I will make lots of lovely little notebook to become works of art

The lastest

Hello everyone, It's been a little while since I last updated,
because I've had such a busy week! Back to my last year at college! I visited Margate, a beautiful seaside town to see Grayson Perrys's Provincial Punk exhibition. As you can see I took a few sneaky pictures because you weren't allowed to use photography.
The view from the inside of the museum.
The pots and tapestry's were just beautiful! It's a shame I couldn't have spent longer however the journey was such a trek.

Travels

So over summer I've been doing a fair bit of wondering. Here's a few of my photos from my trip to spain, thought I'd share this with you as I love spain wish I was back there right now, I think it's a beautiful country. Hopefully next year I will go back again to enjoy the sunshine as we don't have much of it left in England, but here's me reminiscing anyway.

Bloggin

I really need to stop spending my money on clothes haha, it's becoming a bad habit! Thank you Topshop for preparing my A/W wardrobe! I do love my new stripey straight leg trousers, by far the most comfiest. I have all I need to begin my final year (3rd year) at college

Throwback Thursday

Last summer I had a go at making shabby chic furniture after up-cycling my whole bedroom. However I took this a step further and started experimenting with art and furniture to sell on, I made a small profit but it can be a long process.

Crochet Creations

Over summer I've been pretty busy learning how to grasp crocheting
I taught myself some of the basics to then go on and create some cute
tops. The green one was my first trial but it seems to have gone well but my favorite is the white shell stitch pattern. I think for future reference though I would make the cups smaller just for the fit it has on me. Not bad if I say so myself.

Daily Dose

So it's been a little while since my last
update, I soon want to get this
going as a daily thing.
I always seems to be brushing
my hair *can't tame this mane* .
Ah I'm trying to make the most of whats seems
to be left of our British summer, now its pretty much wet and rainy.
I'm in love with my heeled sandals from
H&M - trying to wear them at every moment
I get to call "summer", but soon we'll be putting
tights under those shorts and skirts.

Mini Holiday

Off out on me holiday in weymouth. Currently in love with this shirt dress I bought from Topshop, I thought I'd dress it up a bit with some low heels, but it works so well with a pair of white trainers for a more laid back look.

Results!

Started off at the bottom and now were here! So pleased with my A level results last week achieving an A* for textiles and an A for art. - To live a creative life we must lose our fear of being wrong

Beach Exploring

So earlier this week I drove to Weymouth, as you can see the weather was beautiful! I don't think there is a beach as clear as this anywhere else in South England, when going to the beach this is my favorite place to be, one end is stony and the other sandy. Also I was staying in a caravan right next to a river which goes through the campsite out to the sea, with many butterflies attracted to all the plants around it, so peaceful to sit and watch the fish swim around the mini waterfall.

About

As I also said, I am a student that LOVES fashion, I think I live and breathe fashion! It's a daily thing for me, *but I digress*. This is a throwback to my first year of my Textiles/Fashion A Level. After a trip to the V & A Museum (London) I was really drawn to the oriental objects on display and their beautiful patterns. Gathering inspiration from this trip, I built on this with my own ideas and created a simple tote bag made out of tea bags. Yes I said tea bags! These were dipped into a wax pot, and once dry sewn together. Inside the tea bags, I took out the tea and replaced it with paper, material, threads and drawings.

Art

So I thought I'd show you all what I'm all about. I've just finished my final year of my 2D Art A level, *phew* - its been a tough ride, I had a project that was based on portraits, and this is what I produced for my final outcome. Throughout my project I wanted to convey how facial expressions can be explored and expressed differently in a portrait. Also focusing on detail and ways of breaking up an  image. This piece was created on MDF board with acrylic paint and the chopped parts were painted separately.

A Hello

Well hello everyone and thank you for visiting my page if you have done, although there's nothing on it yet!

I'm Lisa from England, 18 years of age, this is my first time blogging, (I'm still learning so please be kind hehe). I'm an art and textiles/fashion student currently going into my third year of college, I couldn't decide on uni so I'm taking a breather before I do. I love creativity so this blog is going to be a mixed art bag but I'd like to share this creative journey with all of you and explore some of yours too!
